Two of those six leave you with a working denominator. That is the whole argument of this page. A format that hides the milligram content is not a different product, it is the same compound sold in a way that stops you comparing it with anything.

The 10 mg lyophilised vial: the format the arithmetic assumes

The compound in it is the one Lee and colleagues characterised in 2015, and the research that followed was done on dissolved powder of known concentration, which is a reasonable argument for buying it in the state the literature used.

Freeze-dried peptide in a sealed vial is the default for a reason. It is stable dry, it survives shipping without a cold chain in most conditions, the milligram content can be stated exactly, and the buyer controls the concentration. Everything on this site assumes it.

That is $3.75 per mg against $7.50 per mg at list. The vial holds 10,000 mcg, so at a 2 mL reconstitution it is 5 mg/mL, 200 units of a U-100 syringe, and a 10 unit draw is 500 mcg. Blends and mitochondrial stacks: a vial with no denominator

A good share of the listings advertising MOTS-c for sale are not selling a single-compound vial at all. Blends pair MOTS-c with other research peptides in a single vial and sell the combination as a mitochondrial or longevity stack. Commercially it is an easy product to move, because the buyer sees one price and assumes the components were priced fairly inside it. Analytically it is a problem.

The split is usually unstated. A blend advertised as 10 mg total across two peptides could be 5 mg each or 9 mg and 1 mg, and unless both figures are printed you cannot tell. If you cannot tell, you cannot compute a cost per milligram of MOTS-c, which means you cannot compare the blend with a single-compound vial at $3.75 per mg.

The certificate gets harder, not easier. A certificate for a blend has to resolve two or more peaks and assign mass to each. Many blend listings publish a certificate for one component, or a generic document with no batch code at all.

The concentration is fixed for you. With a single-compound vial you choose the fill volume, and with it the mg/mL and the units per draw. In a blend the ratio between components is fixed at manufacture, so the only variable left is total volume, and every component moves together.

None of that makes blends fraudulent. It makes them unpriceable on this site's terms. If a blend does print a milligram figure per component and publishes a batch certificate resolving each, it can be evaluated like anything else. Most do not.

Pre-mixed solutions, sprays and capsules: paying for the water

A pre-mixed vial arrives already reconstituted. The appeal is obvious and the cost is threefold.

First, you lose control of the concentration. The seller has decided the mg/mL, so the units on the barrel per draw are decided too. With a dry 10 mg vial you set 5 mg/mL or 10 mg/mL yourself depending on what the work needs.

Second, the clock started without you. Peptides in solution degrade faster than in the lyophilised state, and the useful life of a pre-mixed vial began at the filler, not at your fridge. You are buying an unknown fraction of a shelf life.

Third, the denominator often disappears. A listing that states a volume but not a concentration, or a concentration but not a volume, cannot be converted into milligrams. Both figures or no purchase.

Sprays and capsules raise a separate question. MOTS-c is a 16-residue peptide, and there is no established oral or intranasal delivery data for it in the way there is for a handful of small, well-studied peptides. Listings in these formats rarely state milligrams per actuation or per capsule at all, which again leaves nothing to divide. Treat an unstated content figure as the disqualifying detail, regardless of what the format claims to do.
