NAD+ for sale is a phrase attached to listings that differ enormously in what they actually tell you. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme sold in gram quantities, not a peptide sold in 5 mg vials, and the fields that matter on a gram-scale listing are not the fields a peptide buyer is used to scanning. This page reads a listing field by field.
The centrepiece is a field most listings leave empty. FDA stated, in a compounding notice whose content is current as of 30 October 2024, that it was aware of compounders using food-grade nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide sold by repackagers to make intravenous products, and that ingredients identified as food grade are not suitable for compounding sterile drugs without appropriate processing, because of the high risk of contamination with microbes and endotoxins. That is a statement about a field on a listing, and it is the field almost nobody fills in.

NAD+ for sale: the seven fields, and what a thin listing puts in them
Scan the middle column. Each entry is something we have watched listings substitute for the real field, and each substitution is a specific way of appearing to have answered.

A listing that fails the last field has quoted the price of a container. A listing that fails the first two has not described the contents. Those are different failures and both are common.
Grade: the field almost every listing leaves blank
Grade and purity are routinely conflated, and the conflation is the mechanism by which the FDA notice is possible. Purity answers how much of a sample is the target compound. Grade describes the manufacturing and testing regime the material was produced under, which is where sterility, pyrogens and endotoxin control live. A powder can be 99% NAD+ and still be food grade, because food-grade material is made to be eaten, and eating puts a gut and a liver between an endotoxin load and the bloodstream.
FDA's notice reported adverse event reports following use of NAD+ injectable drugs, including severe chills, shaking, vomiting and fatigue, some requiring medical treatment, in a pattern consistent with excessive levels of endotoxins. The agency had raised the same concern earlier about the dietary ingredient glutathione. It also urged repackagers to identify clearly on the label any ingredient intended for use in foods or dietary supplements, which is an unusually direct statement that labels in this supply chain were not doing so.
Endotoxins are lipopolysaccharide fragments shed by Gram-negative bacteria. They survive the conditions that kill the organism, which is why a clean chromatogram and a sterile filter can both be true of pyrogenic material, and why the bacterial endotoxins test is a separate assay from purity and identity. On a listing, that means a purity percentage cannot stand in for a grade statement, and a certificate reporting HPLC and mass spectrometry has not reported endotoxin.
The practical move is to treat grade as a question rather than a field: ask the seller in writing whether the material is pharmaceutical grade or food grade, and whether an endotoxin result exists for the lot. The answer, or the silence, is more informative than anything else on the page.
Quantity: grams on the label, milligrams on the assay
NAD+ listings are gram-scale, which changes what the quantity field has to do. A peptide listing saying 10 mg is describing something you can weigh out in a single draw. A listing saying 1,000 mg is describing a supply, and the difference between the printed figure and the filled figure becomes worth money.
Almost no listing publishes a measured quantity. The one referenced on this page does. The MZ Biolabs certificate for lot 25-01260229, analysed 26 January 2026 by HPLC-UV-MS, reports purity of 99.66%, identity confirmed by mass spectrometry, and a measured quantity of 784.32 mg per vial against a 1,000 mg label.
Read the laboratory's own note before drawing a conclusion from that. The certificate states that salts and sugars added to aid solubility and act as pH buffers are not normally detected by UV and are not considered impurities. The measured figure is therefore UV-detectable NAD+, not total vial contents, and the gap is not evidence of a short fill. It is evidence that somebody quantified, which is more than a printed label offers.
The buyer's move is to price both bases and know which one you are quoting. On the label, $52.00 over 1,000 mg is $5.20 per 100 mg. On the assay, $52.00 over 784.32 mg is $6.63 per 100 mg. A rival listing quoting a lower number from a printed label alone is not quoting a comparable figure.
Lot number and testing scope: what two certificates actually cover
A certificate proves one thing: that a named laboratory tested a sample from a named batch on a named date. Everything else is inference. So the lot field is the hinge, because a certificate you cannot tie to the vial in front of you describes somebody else's material.
The listing here publishes two certificates per batch, from separate laboratories. MZ Biolabs of Tucson, Arizona covers lot 25-01260229, dated 26 January 2026. Kovera Labs covers batch 25-05260628, dated 14 June 2026. Two independent houses is more than most of this channel publishes, and both codes are checkable character by character against the label you receive.
The scope is what it is. The certificate we could open reports separation and quantification by HPLC with UV detection, identity confirmation by mass spectrometry, a purity figure and a measured quantity. It does not report a bacterial endotoxins result. That absence is normal for research-chemical certification rather than exceptional, and it is the reason the grade question above cannot be answered from the certificate alone.
Two habits worth keeping. Do not carry a purity figure from a web page to your vial: 99.66% belongs to lot 25-01260229 on 26 January 2026. And treat an in-house quality sheet as marketing, not testing, no matter how it is formatted.
Storage: the field that tells you whether the seller has thought about it
Storage is the quietest field on a listing and one of the more revealing. A seller who has handled the material knows it has two states with different requirements, and says so.
The vendor referenced here states its terms plainly: keep lyophilised material at minus 20 degrees Celsius in a dry, dark environment; once reconstituted, hold it at 4 degrees and use it within 28 days; avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Whether or not you agree with every figure, the shape of the answer is the point. Dry and wet are different problems, and a shelf life on the reconstituted state is a real commitment.
A listing that says nothing about storage, or offers a cool dry place, is describing a product it has not handled. That matters more at gram scale than at peptide scale, because a gram is a supply that will sit somewhere for a while rather than a vial consumed in short order. Price, converted into something you can compare
The price field is only useful once it has a denominator. Here is the same listing expressed every way it can honestly be expressed.

Is a purity figure enough to judge NAD+ for sale?expand_more
No. Purity is a chromatographic statement about how much of a sample is the target compound. It says nothing about endotoxin load, which is what FDA linked to adverse event reports of severe chills, shaking, vomiting and fatigue following use of NAD+ injectable drugs. Endotoxins survive the conditions that kill the bacteria that shed them, so a clean chromatogram and a pyrogenic solution are entirely compatible.

Separate terms for dry and reconstituted material and a shelf life for the wet state. The listing referenced here specifies minus 20 degrees Celsius for lyophilised material in a dry, dark environment, 4 degrees once reconstituted with use within 28 days, and no repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Silence on storage, or a vague cool dry place, suggests a seller who has not handled the material.
