Semax Where to Buy: $3.00/mg, and What $0.62 Buys

Each check is answerable from a public document in a minute, and each is written in terms of what it does to the figure you divided by. The right column marks the supplier costed above.

Five clear passes and two rows that depend on which box arrives. Checks 5 and 6 are the ones almost no research-chemical listing satisfies, and the ones FDA's concern points at. Absent on purpose: reviews, reputation and years in business, none of which produce a number.

The most useful fact here is that this is not one product. Ascension publishes two certificates against the Semax 10 mg listing, from two laboratories, for two batches, and they do not test the same things.

Read the endotoxin row twice. The February certificate is a good purity and identity document and stops there; the June one answers checks 5 and 6 as well. Same page, same price, different evidence, and what decides which applies to you is the code printed on the vial you were sent. So the useful answer here is narrower than a vendor name: buy from a seller that publishes lot-level certificates, then read the one matching your vial rather than the one at the top of the page.

This site prices research vials per milligram because it is the only figure that survives a change of vial size, and Semax has an obvious neighbour. Both are Russian heptapeptides sold by the same vendor as 10 mg lyophilised vials under the same 50% code. They are different molecules and not variants of one: Selank runs Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro against Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, sharing only the Pro-Gly-Pro tail.

Now the part an affiliate page would skip. It is tempting to say the 26% buys the endotoxin and sterility testing. It does not. Selank ships under the same two-laboratory arrangement, and its Kovera certificate for batch 29-05260628 carries endotoxin under 0.20 EU/mL, a sterility screen and the same metals panel. The premium buys a different peptide, and on assayed content it widens to 33% because the Selank lot was filled heavier.

Duller than a testing premium, and what the documents support. The instruction is the same on both: check the lot code, because on either compound the older certificate is the thin one. Once a box is on the bench the vendor question closes and a different arithmetic opens. This is laboratory handling maths and nothing else. A 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL is 5 mg/mL, and a U-100 barrel is graduated so one unit is 0.01 mL: a unit holds 50 mcg, ten units hold 500 mcg, the vial is 200 units. Divide $30.00 across them and a unit cost 15 cents, a 500 mcg draw $1.50. At the undiscounted $59.99 the same draw is $3.00.

The last column is identical on purpose. Solvent volume buys resolution, not value: a milligram costs $3.00 whether spread over one millilitre or three, and extra volume costs a shorter shelf clock once powder is in solution. One caveat the certificate creates: those figures use the 10 mg label.

If your vial is the June batch at 11.23 mg, 2 mL gives 5.615 mg/mL and ten units hold 561.5 mcg rather than 500, a 12.3% difference no syringe can show you. Semax appears in no category of FDA's 503A bulk drug substances lists, last updated 14 May 2026. It was nominated, it was placed in category 2 under the interim policies while the agency evaluated it, and the nomination was then withdrawn by the nominator. FDA's safety-risks page records that table as substances previously in category 2 that were withdrawn by the nominators, and Semax is one of seventeen entries in it.

Pages calling Semax FDA Category 2 or banned are working from stale information: the current table holds fourteen substances, six of them under 503A, and Semax is not among them. The corrected version is not the permissive one, because nominated, withdrawn and unlisted leaves a compounding pharmacy no defensible route and no approved product to fall back on.

Compounded drugs containing semax (heptapeptide) may pose risk for immunogenicity for certain routes of administration due to the potential for aggregation and peptide-related impurities. FDA has no, or limited, safety-related information for proposed routes of administration. Therefore, the agency lacks sufficient information to know whether the drug would cause harm if administered to humans.

Notice what that is. Not a finding of harm, but a statement that the evidence to rule harm in or out does not exist. The two mechanisms named are what checks 2, 3, 5 and 6 measure, which is why testing scope outranks price on a compound this cheap.

• It covers a sampled aliquot on a date. Filling, capping, storage and transit happen afterwards. The June endotoxin result dates from 29 May 2026 and your vial has had a life since.
• Below quantitation is not zero. The result reads under 0.20 EU/mL against a range starting at 0.01. At the 2.0 mL the assay used, that puts the whole vial under 0.4 EU: a good number, and a limit rather than an absence. The sterility line is a two-day screen, and the document itself notes that compendial testing to USP Chapter 71 may be required for regulatory compliance.
• Purity is what the detector saw. The MZ Biolabs document says so: salts and sugars added for solubility and buffering are not normally visible to UV and are not counted as impurities.
• Nasal spray listings answer a different question. Anyone searching semax nasal spray where to buy is looking at a pre-mixed format sold in millilitres and percentages, usually with no lot-level certificate. Ascension sells the lyophilised vial, not a spray, and the two cannot be compared until the bottle states its milligrams.

Which leaves the question with a short answer and a long reason. The variable that fails silently is testing scope, not price, and the $0.62 premium over the neighbouring heptapeptide buys a different molecule rather than better paperwork.
